Notes
- Gisele's full name is Gisele Caroline Nonnenmacher Bündchen.
- She is the daughter of Valdir (of German descent) and Vânia Bündchen. Gisele has three sisters: Raquel, Graziela and Rafaela. Patricia and Gisele are twins.
- In 1993, Gisele, 13 years old, joined the Dilson Stein's mannequin course to correct her posture, with her sisters Patrícia and Gabriela, because her mother insisted. The course was for teenagers who wanted to be a model. In May 1994, Stein took 50 girls to São Paulo to give them a chance to walk in a big city and to let them be evaluated by Brazilian Elite bookers (agents). On August 20, 1993 Gisele was playing volleyball for Sogipa, in Porto Alegre. Elite "kidnapped" her and took her to a contest. Gisele came between the five finalists. Then, she went to São Paulo.
- She came second in the national Elite Look of the Year contest (Claudia Menezes, from Bahia, was the one in the first place). In the world contest, in Ibiza, Gisele came in fourth.
- She won the 1999 Vogue/VH1 Model of the Year Award and has been named "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" by Rolling Stone. She has also hosted the VH1 Fashion Awards and appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
- Gisele appeared in the 2001 & 2006 Pirelli Calendar.
- Gisele has a belly button piercing and a star tattoo on her left wrist. She has a dog named Vida.
- Claudia Schiffer reckoned her as the only one who comes close to earning the supermodel title when the Supermodel Era finished.
- Gabriel Guerra and Pedro Cezar wrote as homage to her the song ‘Tributo a Gisele’.
- Gisele's debut as an actress came in the 2004 movie 'Taxi'. In 2006 she appeared in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
- She speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (her native language).
- According to Forbes, she is the highest-paid model in the world and also the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world, having earned $33 million in 2007 alone, adding to her estimated $150 million fortune. She is also listed on 'Guinness Book of World Records' as the world's richest supermodel.
- She has her own line of sandals with footwear company Grendene called ‘Ipanema Gisele Bündchen’. Forbes puts her 53rd on their list of the most powerful celebrities of 2007 due to the success of her shoe line. She is also the owner of a hotel in the south of Brazil, the Palladium Executive.
- Gisele gave birth to a son named Benjamin Brady in December 8th 2009. The father is her husband and football player Tom Brady.
- Gisele is FMD's "model of the month November 2005" .

Gisele Bundchen Biography:

Gisele Bundchen, one of two beautiful Bundchen twins, was born and raised in Brazil where -- in a twist that would make her future husband smile -- she was substantially more interested in an athletic career than a modeling one. While Gisele Bundchen’s thin, agile frame lent itself well to her preferred sport of volleyball, it also attracted cruel comparisons from her schoolmates to Popeye’s gal pal, Olive Oil, and various local shorebirds. After a stint in a modeling class, Gisele Bundchen would get the last laugh during a 1994 field trip to Sao Paulo where she was approached by modeling reps from Elite. After a second-place finish in the Brazilian installment of the Elite Look of the Year competition in 1995, Gisele Bundchen made the top five in the world version, and left for New York City in 1996. Gisele Bundchen Quote

" I am not used to doing naked shoots, but when you trust the photographer and the crew you know it won't be vulgar."
